TC Camp News!
What I need, when I need it
Quality: The Art in Survival
In 1884 Karl Elsener set out to deliver a soldiers knife. What he delivered was not just a knife but a responsive designed tool that would adapt to the users needs. In the end, he revolutionized an industry and his product is now a “household” name.
Who has heard of the Swiss Army Knife? Everyone, right! In fact, you may even carry one around with you wherever you go.
A tool that can act as a knife, a can opener, a bottle opener, a nail clipper, tweezers, screw driver, cork screw (probably the most important one for all those bottles of wine), fire starter, wood saw….. the list goes on.
All of this and it fits in the palm of your hand. I can’t imagine any outdoor enthusiast without one of these. At last count, there are some 80-odd tools that go into the various configurations of the Swiss Army Knives.
So now think about your content and the consumers of your content…….
Imagine being able to respond to their desire effortlessly. Delivering of content that responds to the user needs whether they be handheld, mobile, or full screen PC. In the TC camp workshop: Content Authoring for Responsive Design, Mike Hamilton will explain and show techniques for authoring and styling content so that it not only works from a responsive design standpoint, but increases usability and customer satisfaction.
If you are interested in moving towards responsive design then this is a workshop you do not want to miss!
Getting the most out of camp
Carpool with fellow campers!
Mission college has ample parking, but you will need to purchase a parking pass for $3 or else you may get towed. TC camp will be in the Hospitality Management building and the closest parking lot is lot C. Campus parking map. You may also choose to take public transportation or bike to Mission college
Packing for camp
What do you need to bring with you to get the most out of your day?
There will be snacks throughout the day and you can purchase a lunch ticket for only $4. But if you have special diet needs, it’s okay for you to bring your own lunch. If you forgot to purchase a lunch ticket, don’t worry, just bring your $4 dollars and we can sell you a ticket at camp.

Free Stuff!
How about a FREE lunch?
Want to attend a morning workshop for FREE?
OK, I’m not too proud to beg! I need volunteers to help me on the day of the event. I can bribe you with FREE passes for a workshop if you volunteer to help! In order to get the passes, I need you to sign up to volunteer. It’s easy – send me an email with your name and contact information (cell phone). Tell me what part of the day you want to help with.
Volunteering has rewards!
