Earn Your Content Preparedness Merit Badge
TC Campers are often first responders in content emergencies because they possess the discipline and planning needed to react in tenuous content situations. Earning your Content Preparedness Merit Badge prepares you for content emergencies. In this merit badge course, you will learn the skills and actions that are needed before, during, and after a content emergency.
In this session you will:
- Triage your own content production, identifying critical issues impacting the health of your content
- Work together in small teams to apply First Aid to your content and content production techniques
- Explore alternate ways of presenting and delivering content to your user
- Produce a Content Preparedness plan to ensure long term content success at your organization
In this session, Matt Sullivan, Eagle Scout, founder of Tech Comm Tools, and an Adobe Technical Communication Partner, will guide you on a true merit badge-based experience. You’ll get your very own merit badge requirements handbook and a workbook to help you complete the requirements. You’ll want to keep track of the steps you complete because you can actually earn a badge in this session! Along the way you’ll participate in group discussions, evaluation activities, and team exercises.
There will be plenty of Adobe FrameMaker tips and techniques to help you boost your content creation, and sure to be a lot of fun!
When: 27 January 2018, 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Workshop leader: Matt Sullivan, Tech Comm Tools and Adobe Technical Communication Partner
Matt is Adobe’s Ambassador for TC Camp 2018. He is a content experience strategist who helps both large and small organizations deliver exacting content to their audience. He is a real world Eagle Scout and still uses the skills and knowledge he learned a few times a month. His daughters recently asked him to take them backpacking, but he’s pretty sure they’ll back off when they find out why backpackers need to carry a 6” trowel with them.
And, just in case you’re not sure of Matt’s qualifications, this photo from his Eagle Scout days should ease your mind!
